GRAND REOPENING, ART SHOW
AT HISTORIC SHAKER STYLE FURNITURE SHOWROOM
HARRISVILLE, NH, September 15, 2008— Shaker Style, located at 292 Chesham Road in Harrisville, invites the public to celebrate the historic expansion of its furniture Workshop and Showroom at a grand reopening and art show on Saturday September 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday September 28 from noon to 5 p.m. Free refreshments will be served.
The grand reopening will showcase furniture for every room in the home, with Shaker Style’s trademark dovetailing, natural finishes and traditional details. It will also feature the art of local artists Debra Blore, David Dodge, Howard H. Hill, Mary Iselin and Chris Reid, whose works appear in public and private collections and galleries across the United States.
The Workshop and Showroom expansion, guided by Historic Harrisville, Inc., preserves the 125-year old Bemis Livery Stable and Barn, from original wood floors to horse-chewed beams. The site is listed on the National Historic Register.
